Scalable and Disaggregated GGN Approximation Applied to a C+L+S Optical Network

We investigate quality of transmission (QoT) estimation in a multi-band scenario, including wideband description the frequency-dependent physical layer parameters and disaggregated QoT approach.In particular, we use experimentally-derived erbium- thulium-doped fiber amplifier operational data, simulate generation nonlinear interference (NLI) noise by comparing implementations split-step Fourier method, generalized Gaussian (GGN) model implemented open-source GNPy library, an efficient approximation that provides accurate results limited computational time. The latter semi-analytical solution is obtained approaching Manakov equation from standpoint, power transfer induced stimulated Raman scattering, along with evolution loss, dispersion nonlinearity coefficient. validate proposed within C+L+S 400 G scenario 21 channels under test are equally spaced three bands.
